Do you need some additional Christmas decor for your upcoming holiday party?  How about some dueling skiing cinder block snowmen? These will go perfectly on any desk or shelf for decorations during the season.

Here's what you need and how to get it done!

Supplies needed:

  • a pack of half blocks (each snowman will take 6 half blocks, leaving 3 for snowballs)
  • 2oz mortar
  • Paint (white, black, and orange)
  • Mini Candy Canes
  • Twigs from your Christmas tree (for the arms)

Step one:

Mortar the bottom layer with the outer two blocks' holes out and the inner one with the hole facing up. Mortar second layer with holes up and then attach the head to the top.

(Tip: use a thin layer of mortar to make a clean and connected snowman.)

Once mortar is completely dry, paint all blocks, top to bottom, white. Paint the three remaining blocks all white.  After the snowmen are dry, paint the snowman's features however you fancy.
